About Wood + Wires

Wood & Wires Productions was started by Adrian Vieni in January 2010, as a way to break into the film and music industry. Working in both Toronto and Kingston, Wood & Wires Productions is currently creating films, documentaries, music videos, and live performance films.

Wood & Wires Productions has worked with an impressive roster of artists from Canada and all over the world, embracing many genres, including acts like Billy Talent, City & Colour, Broken Social Scene, Neon Indian, Black Lips, Great Lake Swimmers, Jamie Lidell, Eagles of Death Metal, and many more. The first project, the Wood & Wires Video Series, channels many of its predecessors in intimate one-off performances in unique locations. The videos are meant to show a different side of the artist, and allow viewers to be fully immersed in an amazing intimate performance.

Alongside James Featherstone and Luke Ludgate, Wood & Wires Productions also works on a series called What We See Is What You Get. Featured on AUX.TV, the series takes you behind the scenes with artists for intimate interviews mixed with live performances. The unique visuals and verite feel of the show allow it to break away from the pack of interview shows already on the air. The show, as well as more content Adrian has worked on for What We See Is What You Get can be found at www.whatweseeiswhatyouget.com and at www.aux.tv/newmusic

Along with music content, Wood & Wires Productions also works on short films. Adrian's student film “Plans” was an official selection for the Kingston Canadian Film Festival, and premiered there. Some of the films you will find here, including "Plans", were made alongside Joey Whitelaw, a fellow Queen's Film & Media student. Other videographers that contribute to Wood & Wires Productions include Joey Whitelaw, James Featherstone, and Andrew Williamson, with sound assistance by Ted Turner and Joey Whitelaw on various videos.
